Deep etched wrought K-tip

Deep etched wrought K-tip

£215.00Price

A fun build this one. Originally intended as a whet stone polisher, I thought that the cladding came a little too low on one side after the initial set down of the bevels for it to be really worth spending the time polishing it to the nines, so figured a nice deep etch would pull enough character out of the cladding instead. A nit pick for sure, but I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to that sort of stuff.

It does mean that you guys could put this up against your own stones and end up with a completely different knife, aesthetically speaking, and so would make an excellent pick up for anyone looking to add a ready to work k-tip to their rotation OR a good choice for someone who wants a bit of a project.

Stats:

- A core steel of 52100 clad in deep etched wrought iron

- Usable dimensions of 180x50mm, with a total blade length of 190mm

- Distal taper through the spine from 3mm - 0.5mm before the tip

- 129x23x26mm (LxWxH) ebony handle that incorporates a Yew bolster

- Total weight of 177g
