Double wrought petty

Double wrought petty

£250.00Price

A super fun build this one, trialling more high carbon core steel and wrought iron cladding combos.  The C130 used for the core steel maintains a 1.3% carbon content which would normally suffer from quite a lot of carbon migration when fire welding it to wrought iron. However, thin strips of pure nickel have been used in between the C130 and the wrought - the nickel strips acts as barriers against that carbon migration!

This means the C130 retains as much carbon as possible, which in turn gives improved hardness and edge retention. Clad this super hard core steel with some tougher more ductile materials to help prevent too much brittleness and voila, you have yourself a mega versatile petty!
